Sunday, April 5, 2009; Clubbing Scene
Just a little update, havent been doing much just been job-hunting and clubbing :)

April's Fool
Went down Rupee Room for ladies night with Charan, Karishma, Dinny and Alvin, a pretty quiet night compared to previous ladies nights, looked more like an unfrequented spot for parties and such. But I still had quite abit to drink which left me groggy the next mornng. Left Clarke Quay about 3am.

Yesterday
Once again settled ourselves in Rupee's as we had 4 bottles there and it was Roshni's Birthday. Rupee's was full to the gills but I guess it always is every Saturday night. I left earlier than usual as I didnt want to get all wasted.

Today, went to church for evening mass with mom being Palm Sunday which marks the start of Holy Week right till Easter :)

Ordered canadian pizza for dinner, and am waiting Mr Deliveryman with my pizzas and wedges!

My Uni application to James Cook has been approved and I thank the Lord with all my heart for answering my prayer. Just can't decide if I want to go now.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009; Party Nights
Get this party started on a Saturday night!

Partied on Sat with Danny, Gagan, Alvin, Charan, Nikita and many others @ The Rupee Room thereafter, I went down to Boat Quay to meet Andy, Harpal, Mil and Donna. Partied at Kanggan til 7am, then went to Shah Alam for brekkie.

"At every party there are two types of people, those who want to go home and those who don't." We certainly belong to the latter :)

One word to describe the night, fabulous.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009; Friends
No road is long with good company :)

There is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved but an expansion, and interpretation of one's self, the very meaning of one's heart. When we honestly ask ourselves which person means the most to us in our lives, we often find it is those who instead of giving advice or solutions have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion and who can tolerate not knowing, and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things :) It's God's greatest gift to us.

Sunday, March 22, 2009; Forgotten funny quotes
list of quotations from mothers of famous people.

“Not say I say what, Tommy, but they’re sculpting a statue of you, so can you please stand properly and not look like such a ya ya papaya?”

The Merlion’s Mother:
“Ah Boy, where you learn this dirty habit of spitting in public? If tourist come and see you doing this, then how? They’ll think this whole country is full of uncouth samsengs!”

Sang Nila Utama’s Mother:
“You saw a lion? Sayang, how many times must I tell you, go out that time, must wear your glasses.”

Admiral Cheng Ho’s Mother:
“Neh’mine… go on cruise, never invite your mother. Even postcard also never send. Neh’mine!”

American Idol Judge Simon Cowell’s Mother:
“Say some more! You say some more, I wash your mouth out with belacan, then you tzai si!”

Michelangelo's Mother:
"Mikey, you got any idea how hard it is to get paint off the ceiling? I buy you all those drawing block for what?!"

Batman's Mother:
"Ah Bruce, why must you be so show-off? What’s wrong with a nice, simple Toyota?"

Humpty Dumpty’s Mother:
“Kay kiang, go and sit on the wall again, lah! Not say I never tell you right? Or-bi-good!”

Albert Einstein’s Mother:
“How can you go out with your hair like that? People say you so clever, but use gel also donno!”

Winnie the Pooh’s Mother:
“Winnie… can you please put on some pants! Otherwise our neighbours see you like that, I sure kena tekan for child abuse!”

I got this off a friend's facebook note which was pretty hilarious so I thought I'd share it here.

Thursday, March 19, 2009; Being Thankful
Please pardon for the lack of updates as I had no inspirations/mood whatever. I spent the entire week in deep thoughts that I was almost on the verge of depression. Mom, aunt and bro had a talk with me and thus I'm trying my best now to take each day as it comes and not to brood over unnecessary stuff and to be thankful to God for all other blessings He has showered me with :) When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas time then why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs which we should? Sure we all have goals and dreams and things that we aspire to have. But if you cant be grateful for things that you have, how will you ever acquire more things in your life? Being thankful puts things in perspective.

I went over to Vindy's place; anti-depressant pills to stay over for a couple of days as it was also the March school holidays so Gia was home. She's so active and truthfully one can get exhausted just entertaining her the whole day but it was a whole lot fun as kids always brighten up your day!

Photobucket

Anyway I'm still on a job hunt and went for an interview yesterday, it went well I'd say but lets wait and see :) next, one company which really got me cheesed off was The Siloso Beach Resort that replied me "Dear Stephanie Marian...we have reviewed your application and determined that your qualifications far exceed our needs..." Over-qualified? thats the lamest reason one can give, and these days companies expect at least 2-5 years of experience but please how about giving graduates a chance? I believe people can excel if only they're given a chance.

Saturday, March 7, 2009; Meiyu's Birthday / HortPark
The girlies and I celebrated Meiyu's 22nd Birthday on Tuesday evening, it was a belated one and it turned out a success :) We had planned to give her a surprise at her condo where Jas & I had to trick her into going to the gazebo by the playground where everything was being set up by the ever dearest Marl & Elaine who by the way gave the surprise away by not-hiding-themselves-so well at the playground :) I really couldn't come up with a lie to get her to go to the playground so I said "Hey Meiyu, can we go by this way (leads to the playground) cos I think I dropped my POSB card" and yes she did get suspicious cos she said "How come?? since when my condo got ATM machine??" -.-" hahaha. (Apparently she thought I went to draw some money which explains why I "dropped" my POSB card)

So we got her a personalized brownie cake and cupcakes made by Marl's colleague, a handmade card by Jas, a Guess necklace & a personalized photographer for the day; it was Marl's friend who studies photgraphy, I think. The photoshoot took about 2-3hours? I was famished by then! There after, drove down to Al-Azhar which is located on Cheong Chin Nam Road, opposite Beauty World Bukit Timah. It has long been a favourite haunt for bikers and students alike if you don't already know :) There was a whole lot of unusuals besides the staple prata but I'm usually not adventurous enough and was pretty ravenous so I had the Mee Goreng pedas with egg, Roti John & tissue prata, yums! Left at 11 and decided to drive around and ended up at HortPark off Alexandra Road. A pretty place at night but the lights get turned off by midnight, snapped some pictures and left for home.

These are the snaps from Elaine's camera @ HortPark, still waiting for the photoshoot shots.

Sunday, March 1, 2009; Lina's Birthday Bash
"Never go to a party and drink coke, especially to the famous people party" as quoted by my uncle last night, and we laughed to that. Celebrated Lina's birthday at East Coast. Weather was bad to hold a barbecue but nonetheless we went on with it, wet and wild party! Reached at about 8pm and it was pouring but we still did have our fair share of fun. I was effin cold by midnight cos it was chilly. But still everyone turned up despite the weather, which was pretty heartening, thank God. There was so much of booze that I'm still feeling the after effects of heavy boozing; mixing whisky and beer :( hangoverrrrrrrr. Most were already drunk and was falling all over the place. Left at abt 2am and headed home sweet home. Here are some pictures to round up the night, apologies for the poor picture quality, snapped using handphones as we couldnt get a
camera that day.

Moving on, another cold day. I've been having pizza's way too often this week, ordered pizzas for lunch and I think it's the 3rd time I'm having it this week. On a lighter note, shopping and eyebrow threading tomorrow with Marl :)) I've been doing alot of thinking/planning lately, with regards to my job, studies etc that always leaves me at a loss and right now, I'm awaiting for 3 applications, well it just goes on. Leaving it in God's hands :)

Elegantly Wasted

I'm a very shy person with a certain passion in life and love. I love the nights, I party with love. I like to drink wine more than I used to. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. I take care of my character, and hence my reputation will take care of itself. ;)
